A few differences:

1. My antics rarely earn applause off stage.
2. Outside the theater, complications are seldom resolved within 90 to 120 minutes.
3. In theater, it's usually clear who's directing.
4. In a play, everyone's on the same script.
5. In improv, everyone agrees to the rules of the game.
